Physician Recruitment and Provider Relations
- Creates a comprehensive description for each opportunity. Prepares job descriptions and develops job postings. Identifies and searches candidate database(s) for potential candidates. Develops hiring campaigns for physicians and places follow-up calls to proactively source candidates. Works with outside recruiting agencies to source candidates.
- Researches and attends job fairs, conferences, and other provider recruitment opportunities. Researches association publications, web sites and other appropriate resources on which to post provider opportunities. Assists with the development of promotional materials to be used in recruitment events.
- Identifies and sources providers using a variety of creative and effective recruitment methods. Reviews CVs/applications and phone screens all candidates to determine quality and fit for the organization. Presents opportunities with detail and clarity, providing information about the organization, compensation plan, benefits and specific elements of the position.
- Develops relationships with residency, fellowship and education programs at schools and academic medical centers that align with the needs of the organization.
- Maintains candidate tracking worksheet/database reflecting documentation of open positions, interviews scheduled, conversations had, offers made or not made, offers accepted or not accepted, reason for offers declined, etc. Follows up with all candidates and referring parties in timely manner.
- Locum Tenens Coverage: Works with leadership to establish what locum need there may be. Sources candidates. Presents candidates to providers in the practice.
Works with leadership to determine compensation and extend offer. Creates and presents Offer Letters-Employment Agreements to/for Candidates.
- Tracks and verifies all invoices and funds spent on external recruitment sources, including job postings, ad placements, third party placement fees, etc. Analyzes effectiveness of advertising and resources used.
- Directs, organizes and coordinates all aspects of the candidate itineraries, agendas and site visits, including: travel and hotel reservations, practice, hospital and community tours, appointments with physicians, lunch/dinner reservations, and processes all related receipts and tracking of expenses. May escort candidates through their interviews and visit.
- Contacts a minimum of three professional references for each candidate and provides to leadership. Follows up and obtains feedback from interviewers and candidates after interview to determine interest on all parties' behalf.
- Provides continued assistance to new hire providers in becoming acclimated to the community during their transition/relocation.
Stays current on regional and national provider hiring trends and practices, researches competitor's activities to keep informed of changes impacting the organizations ability to hire and retain top provider talent. Provides input to improve provider related processes.
Director of Forte Medical Library and CME Coordinator
- Supports and assists in the efforts to identify and define educational needs of the medical staff.
- Assists in the method for review and approval of submitted CME programs.
- Designs and distributes promotional announcements for the grand rounds program.
- Prepares and reconciles treasurer report data. Prepare checks to be signed by CMO, create requests for checks and sends to accounting to ensure all provider stipends are paid in a timely manner, invoice providers for dues, records when sent and when received into an excel file, balance both Athol and Heywood bank accounts.
- Supports the CMO with other duties as assigned.
- Manages scheduling of all grand rounds programs, assists CMO with MEC and Med Staff meetings when asked.
- Handles arrangements for audiovisual equipment, meeting room, refreshments, for the medical staff grand rounds or other CMO needs.
- Monitors compliance to all MMS requirements for accreditation including disclosures, letters of agreement, etc.
- Interfaces with industry representatives when applicable to arrange for commercial grant support funding.
- Attends annual DME conference to maintain a proficient understanding of the MMS requirements necessary for CME accreditation.
- Develops and maintains a file for each program offered during the current accreditation term.
- Prepares and distributes all Grand Rounds materials.
- Provides on-site support for each program including technical support, attendance, distribution and collection of feedback, faculty disclosure and commercial support acknowledgement.
- Provides administrative support to the DME and CME committee.
- Arranges for CME Committee meetings; records and distributes minutes.
