Heywood Healthcare is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our Emergency Departments at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA, and Athol Hospital in Athol, MA.

The Opportunity

Our Emergency Departments provide care for patients across the full spectrum of emergency medicine. Physicians work alongside experienced nursing teams, advanced practice providers, and specialists to deliver timely, high-quality care.

The position offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to practice at one or both of our Emergency Departments depending on physician preference and organizational needs.

About Heywood Hospital

Located in Gardner, Massachusetts, Heywood Hospital is a community hospital serving patients throughout North Central Massachusetts. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency services in a community-based setting with access to specialty services and inpatient care.

About Athol Hospital

Athol Hospital is a rural community hospital located in Athol, Massachusetts. The Emergency Department serves patients throughout the surrounding communities and provides physicians with the opportunity to practice broad-spectrum emergency medicine in a close-knit environment.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking physicians who are:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Massachusetts
• Committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered emergency care
• Comfortable working in a collaborative community hospital environment
• Interested in either full-time or part-time Emergency Medicine practice
