Mail Room Clerk, Materials Management, 32-Hour, Day Shift, Monday and Friday 7:00am - 2:30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:00am - 1:30pm

Hours: 32-Hour, Day Shift, Monday and Friday 7:00am - 2:30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:00am - 1:30pm

Essential Functions

• Sort incoming mail and distribute to proper mailboxes or departments on a daily basis.
• Meters/weighs outgoing mail to determine correct postage using commercial grade postage metering machine.
• Returns misdirected mail to post office and/or carrier.
• Ability to operate hand truck and/or pallet jack.
• Picks and delivers supplies to requesting departments.
• Restocks shelves and rotates inventory to ensure first in/first out so products do not expire.  Reports all damaged or expired products to the manager or supervisor.
• Prepares accurate labels for outgoing packages that need to be shipped via Fed Ex.
• References packing lists and other receiving documents to confirm the accuracy of shipments as requested by the department manager or supervisor.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Minimum Work Experience

• Experience as a mail clerk preferred

Required Skills

• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Reliable
• Good communication skills
• Ability to handle time-sensitive material.
